So you'd reckon CFMAIL would work better/more stable than the native SQL mailing functionality?
I suggest you try it and see how it performs for you. Long before we switched to CF, we built a bulk mailing system using Perl and Oracle. We're currently considering replacing that with CF (it's some way down our long list of projects, but it is at least on the list!).
