> What is the minimum screen resolution that people design...
We build to 800x600 as a minimum (haven't bothered with 640x480 for a few years now). Personally, i don't think that developers will bother with larger resolutions for sometime to come, as i reckon most people surf with their browser in 'window' mode (as opposed to maximised). Making their actual screen resolution a bit redundant. Although, with ever improving screen technologies, i think you'll find that the average native screen dpi will increase to somewhere around the 100 mark (currently around 70 for run-of-mill CRTs and lcd sitting a bit higher). When that happens, we can all start aiming for higher "standard" resolutions. I read somewhere that Longhorn's GUI is being designed for 100 DPI screens... so look out for some serious development in the CRT/LCD arena over the next couple of years. ____________________________ James Silva Web Production Gruden Pty Ltd Tel: +61 02 9956 6388 Fax: +61 02 9956 8433 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.gruden.com ____________________________ --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] MXDU2004 + Macromedia DevCon AsiaPac + Sydney, Australia http://www.mxdu.com/ + 24-25 February, 2004
