FYI - Finally worked it out. It was the character encoding on the uploaded file. The cffile would read the text file and create an empty structure that was passed to the cfwddx tag. So the error was being created on the cfwddx tag but the problem was the cffile action="read". I set the charset="windows-1252" and problem was resolved. Really appreciate the help on this problem. I am constantly amazed at the knowledge on this list.
