Julia,
Are you using three forward slashes with the file URL - file:///...
That is the correct syntax - IE is very forgiving but Netscape/Mozilla much fussier. One of the reasons why I use Mozilla to check all my pages!

I'm using a simple <a href="file://...."> link on our Intranet. It works fine in Internet Explorer no matter what format I use for the file path but it doesn't seem to work at all in Netscape. This is a problem because the entire company uses Netscape 7.1.

I've searched and can't find any information about why this wouldn't work in Netscape. Has anyone found a similar problem with Netscape? Or am I missing something REALLY obvious?

Regards,
Julia
