Hi Ryan,

   personally I'd go with SuSe 8.2 professional, it's a great distro
   in general but it's also now supported by cfmx, and 6.1 installs on
   it like a dream.  I'd also go with postgres - it's an eternal
   argument this one but I tend to use postgres for everything I can.
   It's dead fast and very powerful - has most enterprise database
   features you could need.  mySQL is a good database but I tend to
   liken it somewhat to a linux msaccess - that's an unfair comparison
   for mysql but you probably know what I mean.  It's stable and fast
   but it doesn't have everything I tend to need from a database.
