I have not done this either but you would probably need something like the following to happen (and am not sure that PRINT from the command line will do this).....
When you "print" a complex document you need to invoke a copy of an application that understands the "print" shell command. You know - file extension associations. This would generally mean that you would need to associate PDF documents with Acrobat Reader so they can be printed. And you would set the default launch action to be PRINT. Many solutions that involve server side (and client side) printing of PDF documents require a copy of Acrobat Reader to be present. This is invoked by the technology that is trying to cause the print to happen (in the case of this particular example it would be because the file was invoked that it is printed - rather than viewed). Acrobat also has a COM interface, so you could potentially look at calling that from CF. There are also third party products that can print PDF documents without Acrobat: pdfPrint is one (from Active PDF people - who have a whole suite of PDF tools that can be used server side) We have had all sorts of issues regarding printing PDF documents en masse and the pdfPrint product is the only thing that has come close to solving the problem (but even so it is a kludge). PDF's are really a client-side technology. So anything you try and do from a server will involve lots of incantations and sacrifices to demon gods.
