Mark,

Just wanting to pull some more info out of you regarding what you said
"a database with good XML (Xpath, XSL) capabilities, or at the very least regex
capabilities."

When you say "regex capabilities" can you tell me which dbms has native regex
capabilities?
I know MS SQL doesn't, the only way I found to get around that was by using a VB
object within a SP.

Taco,

I will make the assumption that all these XML documents are writen as files?

As far as I am aware, you COULD verity index them, you might get some funky search
results.

If you are dealing with large amounts of XML documents you should look into storing
them into
a database with good XML (Xpath, XSL) capabilities, or at the very least regex
capabilities.

Having 1000 .xml files is generally not an efficient way of storing this data.

That should allow you to search through large amounts of XML data with more ease.
