And the thing I like the most is the fact it has a jvm embedded in the Database, so you can create stored procedures in java, which gives you more flexibility and power.
 
Also, be sure to look at the CUBE and ROLLUP SQL clauses, great for aggregating and tallying data!

one great differnce between ms-sql and oracle is the "connect by, start
with, order by sibling" stuff, it's the built in support for hierarchical
trees... parent child stuff, really awesome stuff
