You don't specifically need to call <cfflush> inside the loop. However, it sounds as though you are wanting to output something while the <cfquery> is being executed, this isn't really possible. If you are looking for a more efficient way to get the data from the database, you might like to look back at the posts earlier this week by Taco Fleur about restricting the amount of records returned by a query that can be used for paging.
