I use it all the time for "admin" type functions where I am outputting some characters to show the progress of a longish task or if I am just displaying a list of names of items that aren't in a table. (very terminal - but very effective in showing progress). And yes, if what you are trying to output is a table then you need a more comprehensive solution. I personally didn't find the explanation of what was wanted clear enough to be too specific about the solution. Just as a side note,, the parameter to <cfflush> is not a timeframe but a byte count.
