One of the products that Geoff mentioned CVSMonitor, from what i have read,
is unfortunatley Linux only.

but there are other tools such as viewCVS (python) and CVSWeb (perl) you can
use to browser your repository via the web.

I have yet to get viewCVS working but ive had CVSWeb up and running for over
a year now. its great for letting you browse your files in the repository
and seeing the changes you've made to files over different versions.

(see third party tools / web interfaces in the CVSNT wiki)

I still use tortoiseCVS and WinCVS for day to day check
out/commit/update/merge operations.
