Hi all,

Just before I go ahead and write it myself...

Has anyone here written a tool that will trawl through a Cold Fusion
based site to check that references to pages are in the correct case?
This is with a view to converting a site from a Windows based server
to Linux.

I was thinking of something that would recurse through the directories
reading all the .cfm and .htm files. This if it finds something that
looks like a filename, e.g. *.cfm or *.htm it will then attempt to find
that file in the site structure and confirm that it is in the correct
case to be linked to or cfincluded. It could then give a report of all
the instances it finds and offer to fix them one by one for you.

Of course it wouldn't find dynamic filenames like #section#.cfm, but
maybe it could flag instances where they occur as places to be
careful.

Has anyone had a crack at this?

bye
