Hi,

Am I the only one having this problem then? It is a big problem as it is
affecting a number of my client sites and I can find nothing anywhere relating
to it.

Unfortunately, having upgraded directly from 4.5 to MX I didn't get the
detailed verity documentation that shipped with CF 5 so if there is a clue in
there I am unaware of it.

The titles being returned by Verity are being converted to UPPER CASE for htm
documents, but not for binary documents like PDFs. This happens on all my
verity collections on that machine. I didn't knowingly change anything to
cause this. It only seems to be an issue on collections that are indexed via
type="PATH".

See http://www.telsyte.com.au/search.cfm?searchstring=ditm where the first
document is a PDF (with a really silly title but it's protected and I can't
change it) and the rest are HTM (and no the title in the actual documents is
not upper case).

Any ideas? It used to work OK and I only noticed after upgrading to 6.1
(standard). This is a Win2K IIS machine.

Can someone please post a link to a similar verity/cf search engine that is
indexed using something similar to:

<cfindex action="UPDATE"
         collection="collection_name"
         key="c:\whatever\"
         type="PATH"
         urlpath="/"
         extensions=".htm, .pdf"
         recurse="Yes">

So that I can at least prove to myself that it's not happening to everyone.

Regards,

Peter
