I am thinking that YES it would break the session at the APPLICATION level. This to me would NOT be the correct way to terminate a session as it would affect anyone using the APPLICATION at the same time.
 
I think the code I developed (thanks to many CF gurus) would be better but this is a good question on how to correctly and safely terminate a "SESSION".
 
For our server at least please ask that "Use UUID for CFToken" be turned on please. (under settings/server settings)
 
PS. The new "dashboard" for our web sites' kicks butt! Thanks for persevering with it on our behalf!

If it's a valid way to end sessions or not.  I can't help thinking that restarting the application with a new CFAPPLICATION tag every time someone logs out must break all the other users' sessions too, wouldn't it?
