Keep in mind eWay only provide CF samples of their form based transaction method. If you want to use XML to perform the transaction you will have to roll your own in CFMX.
I got a bit stuck because we were deploying a site on a CF5 server, which doesn't have the CFHTTPPARAM type of XML, which is required to do a raw XML post. I ended up CFHTTPing to the ASP sample code they provided which does the raw XML post... works for me... bye!
