Hi Kevin,
If I understand correctly, you would like to have a system where the merchant can
authorize refunds directly from their own back-office system (presumably one you'll be
building for them), rather than use the service provider's back-end system.
Our company Xilo Online offers exactly such a system - VeriPay xServ. It is a Web
Service using the SOAP protocol that can be easily invoked from CF. (We provide some
sample code for you to get started). One of the Methods that xServ supports is REFUND.
So if you can invoke a PAYMENT Method, you can also invoke a REFUND Method, right from
your CF app. This assumes you store the customer's card details securely in your own
database because it's needed when you call the REFUND Method.
