To test if the gateway is operational, go to yourdomain.com/flashservices/gateway
 
If you get a blank page, the gateway is running.  If you get a page not found, it's not running.

Falsh remoting is installed out of the box in Cold Fusion. You will
however need to download the flash remoting kit for the flash development
enviroment.
