Good or bad, many universities teach Java as a first language and with
it all manner of OO issues. In other words, new developers *can* learn
good practice if it's taught from day one. Macromedia are, I believe,
very aware of the "best practice" issues (which is why they want to
improve how code is generated by DW so that it creates well-structured
code using CFCs instead of spaghetti inline code like today - that's
been mentioned by both Ben Forta and Tim Buntel at conferences and
CFUGs).
