I'm getting an increasing number of emails sent to me, from the lyris list manager for this list, asking me to confirm my unsubscription request. I've never sent an unsubscription request. My subscription has a password as well.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Can anyone explain how this can happen without my password being known?
It may be that an email spider has snarfed your unsubscribe email (each member has one posted at the bottom of every email sent to them). When they spam it may be trying to send an email to that address. Lyris response to an email to that address (without a password) will ask the member to confirm to be sure it is not someone trying to unsubscribe you without your say so.
Well that's my best guess anyhow.
