Awww... what's wrong with MSProject? It ain't too bad at all and the
newer versions work really well. 

sure it's a bit clunky but it's basic and general enough to customise

"the one you build for your company"

I think its the holy grail and either you buy one off the shelf and 
force yourself to adopt its methodology in the way you handle your 
software development or you write on yourself.

Synergy from a company called Catuzur i think or something like that, 
was a great little product, a little light on the features required per 
project and was more tailored for basic web dev, but it had its
potential.

You really have to roll your own.
