Brian, I have found that if you are using IE or NN then you need to use the name of your computer instead of the localhost name...

eg. http://work1/mywebsite instead of http://localhost/mywebsite

I have found you need to do this for IE and NN but not FF....when using Zone Alarm

:)

Thanks Scott. I actually found that the problem was Zone Alarm. I turned
this off and I can login. Not sure why this would not let me login.

Go to the CFusionMX\lib\neo-security.xml file and set the value of
admin.security.enabled to 'false'.

Not sure if you need to restart the administrator but you should be able
to
log in without security. Then use set a new password in CFMX admin console
and your up and running again.

BTW, do a backup of the file first just in case.

Subject: [cfaussie] CF administrator problem

Got a problem with my local copy of CFMX. I cant log into the administrator. Every time I put the password in it just refreshes the page. If I get the password incorrect it tells me in incorrect.

I have removed and reinstalled CF twice but I still cant login. I event
tried to deleted every instance of ColdFusion from the registry,
reinstalled
but still cant login.

It does not give me any message when I login it just refreshed the screen
and takes me back to the login box.
