Ok worked it out. For some reason you can't network between the Mac and the Virtual PC while you are using wireless networking... there has to be a physical Ethernet cable in the machine connecting it to a hub to allow this to happen. Even though you are actually connecting the Mac to itself.
Which is also a bit of a bummer, as one of the reasons for doing this is so a client could run his site from a Mac while off the network. Grrrr.... the things they don't tell you in the product specs.... Hmmm I wonder if I made a dummy crossover cable by connecting pins 1 to 3 and 2 to 6 of an RJ45 plug I could fool it into thinking it was on a network... anybody got a spare Mac lying around they want to test this on? :) bye Friday, August 20, 2004, 2:02:33 PM, you wrote: RS> Hi all, something slightly strange here...
