although why you would i dont know.
 
If your setting different variables in each one then yeah i gues you could do it like that, otherwise cf server is going to find the one in the root directory anyway
 
also, be carefull not to set different application names cause then you wont get the base vars

Currently I have something like:
 
web/application.cfm
web/object/application.cfm
web/object/function/application
 
each application.cfm includes the one above
 
Just looking for some feedback I have not thought of yet ...
