Attendance to the NSW CFUG has been an issue for some time and we've certainly looked at it from a couple of different directions including trying out different times and attempting to find new speakers.

We haven't considered changing the location due to the quality of the venue that Red Square have so generously provided to CFUG free of charge. Please consider that parking is reasonable as is public transport, Central station included, and reasonable proximity to the CBD. We've got plenty of space with all the presentation gear that we need (very decent bandwidth, data projector, PC etc.).

Would the NSW members of CFAussie (apart from those who've already voiced their opinion here) care to offer an opinion, either here on CFAussie or contacting me directly via email, as to whether their decisioin to attend CFUG would change, and in what way, if a venue where to be found in another location.

We've certainly had attendees to previous meetings that have come from all locations in the Sydney area, Newcastle & the Blue Mountains for example.

Please consider that there are cities in the United States that have populations exceeding the eastern seaboard that have single user groups.

This really shows the state CFUG's in Australia.

Personally, I have not been to a meeting; When living in Sydney, I
could never make it to Glebe in time as I worked in Parramatta and
lived out in the suburbs.

Speaking of CFUG's ... didn't someone discuss the possibility of a
Western Sydney CFUG a *while* ago?? Do most CF coders live out west or
in the inner city? Would somewhere like Parramatta or further west be ok
for a meeting place? I went a couple of times to the meetings at the
Avillion hotel and before then at Morgan and Banks but haven't had the
time to get to Glebe yet. Do they have a good turnout out the meetings
there?
