Given all the discussion about CF user groups this
week I hope you find these events highly relevant, if you don't then please send
in your feedback.
Macromedia is constantly searching for ways to
service the community better, I'm hoping these online community events bring you
relevant, valuable information straight to your desktop.
Please try to participate, they will only be successful if the community at large gets behind them.
The focus of these seminars is to help bring together server focused developers for a monthly presentation by people in the ANZ Macromedia server community talking about something they have built using Macromedia technology.
These will be scheduled to run on the last Friday of every month at 3pm Australian eastern standard time. ( 5pm New Zealand / 2.30pm Australian Central / 1pm Australian West )
Kindly kicking this off for us on Friday the 29th of October @ 3pm AEST is Mark Stanton of Gruden in NSW, he will be talking about ColdFusion / Contribute integration using the Notifications API.
The month after on Friday 26th of November, again @ 3pm AEST is Geoff Bowers of Daemon who will be discussing the CFMX based open source CMS FarCry in some detail.
The duration of the seminars about planned to be about 30-45mins leaving some time after that for Q&A and general discussion.
Of course we will be using Breeze, and the URL is http://www.macromedia.com/go/anzcommunity/, there is no need to register just click on the link and enter as a guest.
You will need a fairly good connection to the internet as we will be using the VOIP support in Breeze to bring you the audio.
I'd welcome proposals from people on subject ideas, presentations and general feedback about the concept.
I'll be sending more details out as a reminder a week before each seminar and the day before the first presentation but if you are interested please mark it in your diary, and if you have any questions please let me know.
Finally the initial audience for this seminar series is the CFAUSSIE community as it gives us a chance to test the concept and get your feedback and then roll it out to a broader Macromedia audience in ANZ. That said feel free to invite people you feel may be interested in listening and taking part.
