I tried a server reboot and there are my testing enviroment and production
servers in one ;)

I only have SQL server on one box and CF of the other...from the CF box I
can connnect fine with those details using ODBC or Enterprise manager.

...oh and don;t get me started on the error!...if you do a search for it it
seems to be the error for a variety of problems which doesn't help me one
bit :(
