Scott,

Also although the new features in blackstone on CR and reporting are
very nice, we also have the ability to save them in any of the following
formats as well.

Word Document (.doc)
Excel Spreadsheet (.xls)
PDF (.pdf)
Text (.txt)
CSV (.csv)

Admittedly some of those formats are very useless, but it does work and
we use it for one of our clients. Also I am not too sure on how
blackstone will really work on this issue, but when I begun using CR I
found that CR would store the database connection information into the
report. What this means is that if we wanted to use the same report on
another client we would have to physically open the report change the
required information and resave the report for that client.

My tag (cfc) allows for the user to create a report, and be able to
change anything in that report the datasource name, database name, and
even the table name (to be finished, still working on this part). It
allows for the report to be saved as the same name or even saves it as
another name if you wanted it too, as well as by creating it in any of
the above formats that I mentioned earlier.

We can also do server side printing as of CR10, and we use this a lot
and is something that blackstone does not support and will not support,
and as our intranet systems use this feature heavily we will continue
with CR instead of blackstone on this method.

Like I stated earlier I searched high and low on the net for information
regarding crystal reports and coldfusion and found nothing, so there was
a lot of R&D into this tag, if you would like to know anything I am more
than willing to help you with any of your questions.

Regards,
Andrew Scott
