I once read via Mr Matt Woodward:
"...Lest people forget, the "II" in Mach-II isn't just a Roman numeral--it stands for "Implicit Invocation," meaning methods are invoked implicitly based on events that are occuring within the system. Maybe having an event that gets kicked off by a user clicking a button isn't quite the same thing as the system itself announcing an event, but that's really an issue of how the event gets kicked off, not whether or not an event exists. They're both still events as far as Mach-II is concerned..."
And the Mach part I assumed was "breaking new ground/barriers" - ie breaking the speed of sound or something like that.
I've been workin on a Mach-II project code named "Cockpit" heheh, I went with the Jet Relationship instead of the actual meaning of what Mach-II really represents..
