xmlHttpRequest is also supported by Mozilla browsers. past.. uh...
v1.1 (???pick number out of air), but you access it a slightly
different way.

maps.google.com doesn't actually use xmlHttpRequest except to parse
XML, it uses a hidden iframe to do it's display work...

maps.google.com also uses client side XSL transformations - now THAT is nifty.
