I read somewhere on the MM site that remote debugging isn't supported
over RDS on an MX server. I think it is just in HS+ for backwards
compatability.
The problem with putting cfdump/cfabort's in the code is I end up with
junk in the database/file system. If I can step through (and hopefully
change the vars on the fly) I can get all the way through with the
desired outcome. Another problem is the code is spread over a lot of
files in different areas and does a lot of complex processing. I spent
about 45 minutes finding where the var was set when a debugger (like
Visual Studio - which is very nice at it) would have got the job done
in one run of the page.
