If you start QA from Enterprise Manager (Tools > SQL QA), it should connect to the open database on the open server, using the credentials that were used to register the server to the registration group.

Hmm thought of that... but there's one thing that annoys me about Query Analyser. It might just be me, but I can't find any way to save usernames and passwords for databases.. When I want to log in to a new database I always have to enter its username and password in the connect dialog... A bit of a drag when you're managing around 20 SQL Server databases... Is there a way to get QA to save login details?

Bye!

Hi all,

Just wondering what most people use to edit and manage their stored procedures in MS SQL Server? At the moment I'm just doing it through Enterprise Manager, but it a really awful interface for writing code in... for one it all happens in a modal dialog box, so you can't click out of it to check the structure of your tables.

Are there any good desktop editors for Stored Procs? Or even a plug in for Homesite?

bye!
