I agree with this. The point I was trying to make was if I was doing a basic web scripting subject (as an elective) why did I get shown 3 weeks of Perl instead of 3 weeks of CF? The majority of the programming was C on UNIX. They could have covered Perl in a subject by itself or in another subject where we did Lex and Yacc.
 
In the very limited exposure we were given to web scripting CF wasn't even mentioned once. At least using Perl for web scripting made me appreciate other langauges ;-)
