I hope that this new (test and share) team are able to break it before the release, that way it can be improved even more.

For somebody who hasn't visited before.  Where might this blog discussion be located at?

While you are correct about the NDA, again, I was given permission to talk about certain CFC fixes and improvements for MX on the Rocks, and CFUN in a few weeks. In general, as a CFC "fan", I'm am _very_ happy with the bug fixes. CFCs seem to be very rock solid in Red Sky.

And on an unrelated note - the speed of RedSky is... (really) jaw dropping. The first time I ran a CFM under RedSky, I thought something had gone wrong since it displayed so quickly.

(Err, not to say MX is slow. ;)

I believe that everyone that is a part of the "REDSKY" project has signed a NDA, so if there were any other info outside of the invitation, it could not be discussed.

I sure hope that they Team sure do get it right, this time.....

Thank You

Does anyone know of any other links that talk about Red Sky besides:

http://www.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/presentation/redsky

I'd like to know which 400+ known bugs where addressed for example .....

The ColdFusion team would like to invite you to apply to the beta program for the latest release of ColdFusion MX, code-named "Red Sky." As a maintenance release to ColdFusion MX, Red Sky will be a free update for licensed CFMX users. At the same time, Red Sky will also add quite a bit more than previous updates to CFMX.

For an overview, check out the online presentation: http://www-staging.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/presentation/redsky/

If you'd like to experience Red Sky firsthand, fill out the beta application: http://www.macromedia.com/go/cfmxbeta

The next few months promise to be an exciting time for ColdFusion users. The fixes and enhancements in Red Sky are all a direct result of feedback and requests from the CF community. Stay tuned for more information...

Best,

Phil Costa
