It looks like my code is working, except it doesn't keep the instance data that isn't in 'this'. And of course I don't want to put my instance data in this, because that's a public scope. Isn't there a way to refer to yourself and all of your data from within a CFC? I suppose I could create this.dontYouDareUseThisStructure and put everything in there...
