I had downloaded a "blogmxMVC.zip" from benorama website in July when his website was available. Was this not an example of his methodology?

Ben's MVCF - methodology.
Mach II - framework.
A methodology tells you how to build stuff but doesn't give you code.
A framework provides code you can leverage (but doesn't necessarily
tell you how!).
