I do exactly what Ray does. I was doing that in 6.0 before Component.cfc existed but I decided not to change because I didnt like the "forced" implicit inheritence.

I'm not. While I thought it was cool at first - I can't imagine a situation where I'd always want each and every single CFC to have it. Now, that being said, on my dev box I may consider adding a few debug methods, all clearly named so as not to intefere with the rest of a 'real' CFC. On a real application, though, I'd use a core CFC of my own creation, all kept within the same package as the other CFCs. ======================================================================== === Raymond Camden, ColdFusion Jedi Master for Mindseye, Inc (www.mindseye.com) Member of Team Macromedia (http://www.macromedia.com/go/teammacromedia) Email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Blog : www.camdenfamily.com/morpheus/blog Yahoo IM : morpheus "My ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is." - Yoda > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nathan Dintenfass > Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 3:39 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [CFCDev] uses for WEB-INF.cftags.component? > > > I'm curious to know if folks are taking advantage of the new > ability in 6.1 to edit the "base" component > (/WEB-INF/cftags/component.cfc). > > If so, what kinds of things are you doing with it? > > - Nathan > ---------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to cfcdev.
