That makes enough sense, though I didn't want to have to fool around with manager objects.
Sometimes you need them, sometimes you don't...
Follow-up question: where should I put my validation routines? BO? Gateway? Manager? Some new Validator object?
I typically put my validation inside the BO but you could use an external validator (as long as your BO has appropriate getters for the validator to use).
I'm trying to wrap my head around good OO design, but after 5 years of pre-MX CF (and very little else) it's rather boggling.
Don't worry - this stuff *is* hard and it does take a while to become proficient! Don't lose heart...
