A cgi file for the wish list... how about we post that we wish Macromedia believed in it's own technology enough to use it all the time!
John,
You're not offended that their search is "powered by Google"? This mailing list discusses the power of ColdFusion, but the list seems to be powered by something identifying itself as "Internet Mail Service (5.5.2657.72)"--if that's not a CF app, then does that mean the creators of this list don't believe in CF?
I've made this argument before, and always seem to get shouted down, but I firmly believe it: to blindly deliver all services via a single technology does *not* serve the cause of evangelizing that technology.
CGI has its advantages, and ColdFusion has its adavatages. Perhaps the code already existed and worked well long before Macromedia bought ColdFusion. Who knows? Who cares? Belief in the capabilities of a technology includes the ability to accurately assess when to apply it.
