I'm pretty sure you can do isDefined('myStruct.#element#') but I believe
there is a bug in 6.1 (and maybe other versions of MX) that cause this to do
nasty things in some circumstances. I don't know the exact details but can
put you in touch with people who have seen it first hand. Your best bet is
using structKeyExists:
structKeyExists(myStruct,element)
