Ah, but in our case, where we're given large C# libraries that we want to
use in CF, it does perfectly solve our need.

That doesn't allow you to solve CF/.NET integration issues; it only 
allows you to use .NET syntax to product Java classes. For real 
integration you will have to use something that operates at runtime. 
Currently, the only product that exists allowing that sort of 
integration --outside of COM and web services-- is Black Knight.
