I use CrystalTech. I don't know if you'll find a host that "supports Mach-II" - but you'll need a host where it's easy to set up and use mappiings. And overall, CT is a very good hosting company for CF.
The problem for any host maintaining the core files as part of their offer is what happens when the core files are updated and one application will break with the update if changes aren't made to it, and another application depends on the update. Trouble. So i don't think we'll see a lot of that in the future. On CT or any other host, if another app on the same server already has /Machii mapped, then you'll need to do a search and replace on all references to machii. in your app and change it to something like myMachii. - and then map /myMachii - small hassle the first time you have to go through and change that, but it gets routine pretty quick. I asked them about creating a mapping for mach-ii exclusively so others who want to use Mach-II can just have a mapping created for their webroot, but because there isn't a high enough demand for it they said they won't do it but if more people start asking for it they will.
