I may not need to get a complete recordset, including all columns, but I would need to get a recordset of the primary key as well as a descriptive colunm so I can build an interface to edit entries.
For example, I just created an application that lets another person maintain our Honors Program students. This app needed to list all, current honors students. Each student name was a link which took the admin to an edit page dealing with a single record. I don't see how we can ever get away with not returning more than one record.
