Agreed Sean, which is why I said "An instance of a Hotel as a building structure". I think we all (should) agree that a design can be inadequate or too complex depending on the domain it's trying to address. Establishing what it is that you are trying to solve with a model (at the present point in time) is key, otherwise a model becomes a black-hole and we can talk about it till our faces turn blue.

You know, a lot of this really depends on what you are modeling. If you're creating a model for a surveyor or architect, the floors are very important. If you're creating a model purely for guest booking systems, the floors are not important (beyond being able to tell a customer which floor their room is on).
