Which has what on earth to do with CF exactly?  I for one am sick and
tired of reading "... well in Ruby ..." on a list that's supposedly
intended to discuss CFCs.  I understand making analogies between
languages to foster discussion or make a point, but this is getting a
bit ridiculous.  Because Ruby says to put a $ before global variables
(and the concept of global variables is a discussion in and of itself
...), that makes it OK?  If you want to make language comparisons,
there are far more modern languages in which this would be bad style
(at the very least) than there are in which doing this would make
sense.
