Hi, I need to control what content the verity spider indexes and I haven't been able to find much info about it. Using the vspider command line I can control what is indexed at a page level but I need to control what areas of a page are actually indexed and searchable. Basically I want to stop common areas such as headers and footers from being searched. I still want the spider to crawl links found in these areas but I don't want keywords indexed. As it stands now if you search on a work contained within the header, all pages are returned in a search.
From what I can tell I need to use the styleset files to manage the
actual content being indexed but I can't find enough information to make enough sense of it. Am I on the right track or are the style files used for something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers ---------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to cfcdev.
