Thanks. I am in a situation where I know when the spike will be (the duration), exactly what hardware setup the app is using and (roughly) how many users will hit the app
I have a maximun number of db connections (that will be exceeded) I have turned four queries into one (assuming fewer queries per user is an improvement) I think I could put the app in its own instance. Any suggestions? Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2007 23:02:01 -0400 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Subject: [CFCDEV] Re: scope and spike If it is a Singleton, put it in the application scope. If it is specific to user, put it in the session scope. (Pretty much the same rules that apply to any other kind of data). However, without more details on what the CFC does and what context it is used in, it's pretty much impossible to give a definite answer.
