A lot of the questions you ask boil down to preferences. I use Transfer, and
I like it because it brushes all these questions of architectural preference
aside for me, and let's me focus more on solving the client's problem. And
even tho' John here says that Transfer doesn't support soft delete, that's
not really something that you need Transfer to support. You just set your
isDeleted property to true and update the record using Transfer. It's dead
easy.
