Well hell, as long as we're playing with hyper-over-simplifications, with Model-Glue 2, or better yet MG3, and Transfer, in 30 minutes I could have the DB set up, Transfer configured with user, blog, post, and comment objects and the insert/edit forms done, the display pages working, a fresh pot of coffee brewed and be halfway thru the first cup.
And that's if the coffee pot is on a different floor from my desk. Time from complete scratch to fully-functional simple blog using Transfer and MG 2: 9 minutes. Proof: http://tinyurl.com/oumrfa (NOTE: Substitute Transfer for Reactor and vice versa at will.) (SECOND NOTE: MG 3 makes this even faster by allowing for complete event generation in addition to scaffolding the pages themselves.) Touché.
