This only applies to Hexagon, so it won't affect anything other than
Hexagon. This means that unless people build the Hexagon backend, this
problem will not occur.
I don't really know where such a testcase would belong, since it's very
much platform-specific. I don't know how we ended up with this problem,
since any degree of testing involving Hexagon would expose the massive
number of failures.
