We use both Verisign and Thawte certificates on our site with IIS and they work, Verisign does give you their seal to use, for what thats worth, and Verisign from CIBC can be a cheaper if you manage a lot (10+ certificates) I hate having to worry about expiration. you get to generate, revoke and manage your own sites - lose your certificate, lose your website's ecommerce capability. If you are migrating servers or adding specific machines Verisign should be considered. We think that Credit card security is still the #1 obstacle to ecommerce, so the warm fuzzy feeling the verisign seal gives our customers is worth the extra few bucks
